Every winter, Club Med bring more children to Mountains to discover ski & snowboard practice and improve their skills.

To go one step further, Club Med aims to play a key role in supporting Hong Kong ski team for 2022 Winter Olympics to promote the development of Snow Sports and scout future champions.

Official partner of Ski Association of Hong Kong

As a leader of ski holidays, Club Med partners with Ski Association of Hong Kong (SA-HK) to develop young talents for the Hong Kong’s Olympic Ski team and let more Hong Kongers discover the joy of skiing. As the official partner of SA-HK, Club Med join hands to provide support for the Hong Kong ski team, by organizing training trips in Club Med’s resorts all over the world so that the athletes can develop their techniques and adaptability to different slopes and reach Olympics’ qualifying standard.

Interschool trips and competitions

Since 2017, three interschool ski trips and competitions took place at Club Med’s ski resorts in China and Japan, in order to allow the youngsters to explore their potential and motivate them to make progress in skiing. Some kids were later assessed and selected by ESF professional ski instructors to join the Hong Kong team. A total of 180 Hong Kong kids between 12 and 15 have participated in the interschool ski trips and competitions held in Club Med Tomamu, Hokkaido and Club Med Beidahu, China respectively.

To train the future talents for 2022 Winter Olympics

Club Med and SA-HK partnership create a great synergy. As the official partner of SA-HK, Club Med plays a key role to support the training of Hong Kong Ski Team; to identify and assess new talents, as well as hosting the trainings of the team in various ski resorts world wide provided facilities, equipment, meals and ski passes.

Professional training trips for the 2022 Winter Olympics

The next Winter Olympics in Beijing is a great opportunity to showcase Hong Kong young talents. The inaugural training trip is held in Club Med Yabuli, Heilongjiang, in 2018 March. The latest training trip is held in Club Med Val Thorens Sensations in French Alps in 2018 December. Former Olympic skier and top level skiing international instructor Marko Rudić is appointed as an official coach of HKSAR – he has joined the latest trip to kick off the professional training for HK team in Club Med Val Thorens Sensations.

unique programs for kids 4-17

Weaving and dodging as they ski down the slopes, carving happy snow angels, making new friends and improving their at Club Med are in their winter element! Little ones learn to ski in the Snow Garden, under the watchful eye of internationally trained ski instructors; meanwhile, teens revel in snowsports by day, and enjoy films, shows, and parties in the evenings. Plus, kids as young as 3 can discover snowsports through a introduction to snow course.
