Cherating Beach Malaysia

We stayed at Club Med Cherating for 10 days. We loved it. First of all, the location is absolutely stunning. The resort extends itself on a massive area and it is beautiful to walk around the gardens, the beach or take their nature walk. If you are lucky enough you will get to see turtle nesting on the beach.
The shuttle that takes you to Pantai beach and the Zen Pool is great, as it runs every 30 minutes. Yes, the rooms could benefit from a renovation; the renovation is coming this year. Renovation aside, the room has everything you need for your stay (working air conditioning was a must!). The resort will close in September this year for renovations.
As far as the Club Med experience goes, we loved our holiday. The food was good and all staff were fantastic. From the GOs to the Managers to the local staff, everyone was always very helpful and kind.
Not only, we were very lucky to be able to spend time with some of the amazing GOs that were calling Cherating beach home during our stay.
A special shout out goes to Bryan (tennis coach), Neo (boutique GO), Marilyn and Adrian (W&S), Clara (M&E), Ainn and Rein (Teens Club), Reyne (excursion), Bruno and Yoe (Sports), and Awie (restaurant).
Thank you to the resort Doctor who I believe did not see any other families more often than he saw us during the week.
Thank you also to Clayton and Betty for always looking after us during our stay.
We will definitely return after the resort has reopened.

Beautiful location and really fun atmosphere, i made countless memories with the teens club with Rein and Ainn, they’re really helpful and know how to have fun while including every single person in the club. Beautiful couple days spent that won’t be forgotten.

Rein and Ainn were the so fun and amazing counsellors at the teens club! I met so many new people and tried so many new experiences.

A huge thank you to all the staff at Club Med Cherating for making our stay such a wonderful experience. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and approachable, which made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.

I first visited Club Med Cherating back in 2017, and it was such a memorable experience that I decided to return for another stay in June 2026. I’m happy to say it was just as amazing, if not even better.

One of the highlights of our trip was being able to witness wild turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience that we’ll never forget.

The food was fantastic with plenty of variety. I also really appreciated the late breakfast, late lunch, and late dinner options, so there was always something to eat and we never had to worry about going hungry.

If you’re planning a trip here, I’d highly recommend staying for at least 3 nights. There’s so much to experience that a shorter stay just isn’t enough to fully enjoy everything the resort has to offer.

We’ll definitely be coming back! Unfortunately, we missed out on the swamp boating excursion, the Zen Pool, and the fine dining experience this time, so those are at the top of our list for our next visit.

Overall, a fantastic holiday from start to finish. Thumbs up to the entire team, and thank you again for the amazing hospitality!

All I can say is, it’s definitely worth staying at Club Med Cherating!
Even though the room was just so-so, the overall experience was amazing because there were so many fun activities to enjoy, such as kayaking, trapeze, botanical walks, futsal, squash, and so much more. There was never a dull moment!

A huge kudos to the bartender crew, especially Indra, for the excellent service and for always making our drinks so quickly. Special thanks as well to Chloe, Abegoss, Charo, Rayray, Dareill, Andy, and Yoyo for making such an incredible team. You guys were so friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Your hospitality truly made our stay even more memorable.
