Sahoro Hokkaido Japan

Our first Club Med experience and a very pleasant one.
Our focus for this holiday trip was to experience skiing and snowboarding in Hokkaido's famous powdery snow and mission was accomplished! All thanks to the wonderful Club Med staff! Instructors were professional and patient. We had Taz, Lukas and Felix for group snowboard and Edu (for private ski lesson). All four instructors are indeed experts in their fields - explicit in their instructions and conducted their lessons professionally and fun at the same time! Thank you guys!

Big shout out to the Mini Club as well! Especially Rachel, Cara and Pomelo. They are like angels watching over our 2 kids throughout the trip. Very caring and sincere in ensuring that the kids were well taken care of and having fun at the same time! Our kids are already talking about going back next year!

Last but not least, we would like to mention one of the F&B staff - Mr Fihqui (my apologies if I had spelled wrongly). He served us at the Mina Mina Restaurant and also the main restaurant. We truly appreciate his excellent service standards and attention to details.

Club Med Sahoro has definitely given us a priceless experience and fond memories!

A BIG shout out to our ski instructors at CLUB MED SAHORO! Especially to Michael (Liverpool) for his patience, clear instructions, and unwavering belief that we will improve in our skiing!

This was our first winter stay with Club Med. The skiing experience was fantastic for the kids at the mini club and they felt safe with their ski instructors. They looked forward to each ski lesson even though the snowfall was heavy. The ski in, ski out is a huge plus as it was convenient to get to the slopes from the resort and back.
We all enjoyed the activities in the resort that were nicely planned out, not having to rush around. The kids especially loved the night performances and events. The OGs were phenomenal and always on the lookout to give a helping hand to the kids. Special shoutout to Rachel, Camila, Cara, Pomelo, Felipe, Silky and the other OGs at the mini club. We are especially appreciative that Rachel came to see us off on our last day at 4.15 am when she does not have to. Everyone's enthusiasm and attentiveness made our whole holiday experience complete. The kids could not bear to leave the place and cannot wait to return again. Thank you!

irst time to a Club Med and for skiing! Experience was awesome and GOs were just so friendly. Also, this club med is very cozy and not as big as the rest, thus you meet a lot of familiar people during your stay and make new friends! Would like to give a shout out to below:

1. Nash and Amy who received us with full of energy on our arrival day.
2. Alex and Matt - Ski instructors and also great dinner company!
3. Michael - patient and kind ski instructor
4. Mahomi - always with a smile and. Also a great dinner company!
5. Christian, Maxim, Emily and Dude from Orange - ski Pro shop guys whom are so ever friendly and good company at the bar too!
6. Sergio - always professional and smiling at Daichi
7. Haley - the manager whom is always full of energy, surprise and with a smile!
8. And the rest of the GO team who is always smiling and ever helpful.

Kudos to all of you and the rest at the resort, it’s definitely the best experience I have ever had in a resort!

Another amazing time in Club Med Sahoro.
However, there was a little hipcup with the snowboard lesson arrangement that made our experience unpleasant:

1. Snowboard class grouping could be improved.

2. The teaching methodology was inconsistent across different days and instructors, it wasn't the same level  of consistency as I did ski lessons in last season.

Apart from that, we truly appreciate all GO’s efforts and dedication in providing us with the best experience during our stay.

Front desk - Shiho and Nachy were friendly and helpful, from pre check in and bookings, to check-in/ check-out, everything was excellent. It was nice to see Shiho again, transitioning from the ski team to the front desk.

F&B - Benz was a dedicated and attentive Rsstaurant Manager, his exceptional service truly made us feel warm and welcomed.

Ski Pro Shop - Maxime and Christian provided excellent service during the rental and return of ski/ snowboard equipment, process was smooth and efficient.

Boutique - Vicky and Nicole, thanks for their help in providing helpful information about the products, especially Vicky was such an experience GO that help to clear our doubts whenever we have queries.

Snowboard - Eva, Kieran and Shigeru were our instructors for beginner group lessons, they were dedicated, kind and patient.

Ski - Stefano, an experience and professional ski instructor in our Club 2 lesson, he provided useful skills and practical tips throughout the lesson. Honor, our ski instructor on our last day, was calm and encouraging, she was able to ease our anxiety on the steep slopes at Chairlift 6, we were grateful to have her wrap up our ski trip with satisfaction while helping us overcome our fears.

Special thanks to the Ski Director, Stefan who noted on our concerns and made arrangement to meet our needs.

The evening show and night events performed by the GO were entertaining, a wide range of food and beverages provided all day.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will be back again.
