Columbus Isle Bahamas

It gives me great pleasure to write this review of our wonderful trip to Club Med Columbus Isle. The water is exceptional and found the water sport team at sailing to be so helpful. They do whatever they can to get you on the water. I never had to wait more than 5 mins for a sailboat and I sailed twice/day. The boats are kept in great shape. The supervisor, Briac for sailing leads a great staff. Brianna, Phillip, Nate and Miaou. Brianna & Nate were excellent w/ their sailing tips. That team is so strong constantly pulling the boats in and out of the water and never complained. They always had a smile on their faces.
The entertainment staff rocks it as well. DJ Wes is always giving 100% at every event. Wes gets people into the music whether it is at crazy signs day or night. Love how he shows enthusiasm at all times even in the constant heat.
Dining at La Pinta was made fabulous by Sujit, the gourmet lounge manager. He treated us as family. He always was accommodating and just so friendly. I always looked forward to him greeting us. He even remembered the drinks we preferred. Sujit is such an asset to Club Med.
The reception staff also stood out. Johnathan from tennis is an excellent instructor. Titouan and Lucano were always so pleasant. Carol and Suzanna were very enthusiastic about my birthday they definitely made me feel special.
The photographer Enrico was also very friendly and went out of his way to be at so many places to help make memories.

My stay at Club Med Bahamas was absolutely incredible. The setting is spectacular, with one of the best beaches I've ever seen and truly unique marine life. As for the facilities, they offer all kinds of activities and the property is very well maintained.
Something I'd suggest improving is varying the daily menu a bit more, though the food itself was excellent, and I'd love to see the party go on a bit longer, it was always so much fun.

Finally, I want to give a special mention to some of the staff who made my stay unforgettable. Brianna, from the water sports team, taught me how to do the crazy signs at night — I had such a great time with her. She's a true professional, always upbeat, and genuinely cared about making sure my stay was great. I also want to mention DJ Wes, who kept the party going every night, and Joy, whom we knew from another Club Med and who treated us like family. And many more, including Eva from the dive team, Mathieu from tennis, and Manu from the bar.

Overall, this was a fantastic experience with an outstanding group of GOs!

Wonderful views. Rooms are nice and clean. The food and staff very friendly. Drinks and wine left a lot to be desired.

The setting of the Club is wonderful. BahamasAir certainly met their UNSATISFACTORY reliaility rating. The last 3 times at Club Meds, the GOs seem to disappear or congugrate with themselves at meal times, more or less ignoring GMs. I used to look forward to having one or two sit with us. The A/C was a little unreliable, especially when the electricity failed one evening. Columbus Isle MUST do something to discourage the sandfleas, which are as bad or worse than mosquitoes. The boats docking at the wharf need a gangplank for guest's safety; jumping from one to the other is unsatisfactory. With a few corrections, Columbus Isle is a Club Med we would enjoy again.
