Kabira Ishigaki Japan

Awesome experience at the Club Med Kabira hotel in Ishigaki. The location is breathtaking and the crew of the hotel was extremely polite and nice. Especially the yoga and fitness instructor Faustino put an huge effort during our stay. Great classes both on yoga and fitness (cardio).

This is the # 6th visit to CM Kabira. We decided to come here annually as planing condition for windsurfing is highly anticipated. In addition, all the meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are really high quality during the stay.

I have no doubt that CM Kabira is one of the great places of this planet to enjoy windsurfing with such a beautiful circumstance.

Beside it, there are so many things that you may get impressed. We saw the beautiful water-melon carving one day (see the picture). This is another "must do". "San-shin", which is a Okinawa traditional instrument, lessons are another joy (see another picture too).

We greatly thank to beach staff (Rey-san, double Jake-san, Ku-san, Kosuke-san, and others) for their kind help and hospitality. I add another appreciation to Naoki-san who is a former GO for still remembering me.

The location is genuinely breathtaking. The water is clear, warm and the moment you get in there are so many fish.

The room was a little dated but very comfortable. The amenities were fabulous - my family loved playing ping pong, squash, snorkeling, aqua aerobics, stand-up paddle boarding and windsurfing. Honestly if you want a beach holiday it doesn’t get much better. But you may want to bring reef shoes.

The food and beverage service was excellent. Benz and his team really tried to make it is an enjoyable experience and the food variety and quality was great. It gets a bit mad around the buffet but that was the only time at the resort it felt busy. One chef noticed my children had missed out on some grapes and without being asked made an effort to go a hunt some down for them. It was relatively small things that were lovely touches. Most of the time you feel like there is lots of space to enjoy.

My children didn’t enjoy the kids club despite enjoying other versions over the years. They found the lack of indoor craft and activities a little disappointing after all the outdoors time. That is also just their interests - something to keep in mind if your children have similar interests.

Johnny with the water sports and life guards was a genuinely nice presence. His warmth ensured our family enjoyed chatting with everyday.

I have come home recommending the location to everyone.

Club Med Kabira in Ishigaki is a great destination for families. Lots of sports, great food, and great ambiance. Can't wait to go back!
