Just finished 5 magical nights at Club Med Ixtapa! The location is stunning with a beautiful sandy beach, waves just the right size for swimming and rocking in the surf, a huge and uncrowded pool, night life, kids activities, sports, excellent food and free flowing drinks, but despite all that what really makes the experience is the out of this world amazing GO’s. We went with our 7 year old daughter for her birthday and Pamela arranged a special in room surprise for her. So thoughtful and amazing. Pamela was so sweet, giving us a private tour of all the room types and absolutely doting on our daughter. Her smile and energy crated such a warm, fun welcoming environment. Also Joeri really made our stay. He has boundless energy and positivity and made every effort to take care of and make our daughter feel like a little princess. Thanks Joeri we will never forget you! Together with Ana he arranged the most special personalized birthday gift for our daughter. Not to forget Manuela. She was all smiles and all energy throughout the trip and came to greet us each time she saw us, eat with us and check on us often always with hugs and smiles for our daughter. Manuela’s warmth and energy are out of this world! Also Ana was just incredible. She would always greet us with smiles and joy and helped arrange the most special and personal gift for our daughter (junior GO) thanks Ana Gaby!
Last but not least Tyra was so awesome with our daughter. Our daughter just loved dancing with Tyra and all the personal attention. Thanks again to everyone named here and everyone else who helped us who we didn’t personally call out, all the wait staff, cooks, bar staff, housekeepers and everyone else who made this stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back soon!

Hi everyone! I’m taking a moment to reflect and share just how amazing our experience at Club Med Ixtapa was. This was my second time visiting a Club Med resort — the first one was in Itaparica, Brazil, back when I was a teenager. Experiencing it again as an adult made it even more magical and unforgettable!
My husband and I spent two incredible weeks at the Ixtapa location, and everything was simply sensational — from the warm welcome on arrival to the attention and care from every single team member who made sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our stay.
If I may name names, I’d like to shout out what my husband and I called our “dream team”: Fefa, Joeri, and Kyle (family, boutique, and sports managers). OMG — they can make anything happen at any time! Their energy lifts up anyone around and gets you dancing before you even realize it! 🤣
A special thank you to Pamela (rooms manager) — an incredible professional who is both sociable and highly attentive. Thank you for the room upgrade and, most of all, for your attention to every little detail. Our final night felt extra special thanks to you — your talent shines through!
Also, huge thanks to the bar team — you were so patient with us, and we truly felt pampered with every last drink! Daniela (grazie Daniiii!), Kevin, Alain, Dante, Luz (your smile lights up the entire space!), Edgar, JC, Valdemar, and so many others — you’re all amazing!
At the main restaurant, Gerlando stood out as the absolute best! Hardworking, attentive, and kind — we truly hope the company sees your potential and offers you every opportunity you deserve!
To the wonderful activities team — Jersey, Samantha, Luna, Paolo, Ceci, and everyone else — thank you for making every day so fun and memorable.

We went to the resort May 31-June 7, 2025 as a group of 10 with 6 adults and 4 kids ages 8-16. We are regular club med people, but this was our first time at this resort. We felt like we had the resort to ourselves almost, as it is the off season, and it was not busy. The other reviews that say the rooms are dated are correct, but we don't really spend a lot of time in the room, so no big deal to us. Beds were comfy. Maid service was exceptional. All lights, hot water, A/C, everything worked fine. The staff was friendly and the service was good. The food was good, overall, with some of the dishes standing out as exceptional. The Ocean and beach at this resort is amazing. Best I have experienced. Waves big enough to play in, but not too crazy. The beach was clean (no sea weed!). We were always able to find shade and chairs at the pool or the beach. The entertainment is pretty fun, but the evening dancing is like going to a Zumba class. Heavy Mexican house music and everyone doing aerobic moves. There was not a lot of diversity when it came to late night entertainment. The shows the GOs put on were on par with other club meds, some more entertaining than others. We had a wonderful week of relaxation, fun, and sun. I would recommend this resort to families who are not too hung up on opulence, and just want to have a good and relaxing time. We did not utilize kids/baby/or teen club, but I did notice the sweet care the babies received as I walked by them each day.

As always, the vacation to Club Med Ixtapa was awesome. Just a short 4 day jaunt - I usually go for at least 10 days but this was all the time I had - and it was still worth it. The Club was very low occupancy, which meant we got more quality time with GO’s and no shortage of dedicated attention from the entire staff. CDV Daniel and his right hand Nathan made me feel welcome and appreciated for my loyalty from the beginning with special perks and attention. I brought two friends visiting for the first time and was happy that they embraced the experience and loved the vibe. Special GO standouts were the always great tennis staff - Luna and Jorge. Since we were the only tennis players we got personalized lessons and they would play in with us for great practice. My favorite Kids Club GO’s were there to keep us company at dinner and for the shows - Sammy and Tyra. Izzy did great work at archery. At land sports Gerardo and Kyle kept the party going and led our favorite part of the day - water aerobics! Paolo and Dorian at sailing were so fun. Circus shows were great - it was fun to meet Candela and Cooper and I’m excited to see the new show they are creating when I go back. Pete Driscoll as Club Med artist added a great vibe to the most beautiful sunsets. I will be back again soon!

We went on a couoles trip for out 12th anniversary and it was amazing, we visit there for the first time 2 years ago and we came back because we loved the activities and the food was great. We did some sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding. They also have archery lessons and a bar that closes late. It was a great experience
