Tomamu Hokkaido Japan

We visited Tomamu during the summer with family. Prices are a fraction of what they are in the winter. Still plenty of activities for the whole family to do. Don't expect luxurious rooms, they're midscale at best but still comfortable. Loved the Club Med app, very easy to use to communicate with the Hotel for your needs. 4 star rating as we felt the food albeit tasty felt a little subpar for the all inclusive price you're paying. Added to that, you forget you're in Japan when you see a generally international service team!

I had an amazing experience with my snowboard instructor ( Ricky, Neus and Yari) They were incredibly patient, encouraging, and explained everything in a way that made it easy to understand and apply on the mountain. I felt more confident after every run and made huge progress in a short amount of time. They kept the lesson fun while still focusing on technique and safety. I would 100% recommend them to anyone, whether you’re a beginner or looking to level up your riding. Thanks for an awesome lesson!

We sent our child to petite club (2-3 years old) and our child had a great time there. Teachers were very good at handling the young children, feeding them and adhering to their nap times.
Special mention to teacher Moe during our stay. We experienced the 7.6 magnitude earthquake during our stay. It was 11++PM then. We were getting ready to evacuate, only to realise our child’s jacket is in the classroom. Contacted teacher Moe out of her working hours and she went through great lengths to get the classroom keys to open the locked classroom for us to retrieve our kid’s jacket despite the harrowing natural disaster. Her commitment and care towards the children is unparalleled, we are truly very thankful and impressed with her work and service.

My partner and I had an incredible time at Club Med Tomamu. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The standout feature of our stay was definitely the amazing staff — everyone we encountered was warm, helpful, and genuinely attentive.

Special shoutout to Ferry, the assistant manager in the main restaurant, who was always friendly and accommodating. Our afternoons at the Itaru Bar were made even better by the lovely Ria and Rizal, while evenings at The Nest Bar were a highlight thanks to the great conversations we had with Judhika and Milka. We even got the chance to have lunch with Milka and learn more about her, which made our stay feel even more personal and memorable.

The highlight of our trip was learning to ski — we were complete beginners, but thanks to Jemmi and Paula at the ski pro shop who helped us get all our gear sorted, and the amazing instructors Max, Liam, and Kaleb, we were skiing down a slope by the end of our trip!

Club Med Tomamu was the perfect mix of fun, relaxation, and warm hospitality. We highly recommend it and would definitely love to come back!

Loved the whiskey bar. Nice atmosphere. Saw a few foxes scuttle off. The resort was very clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. The menu and quality of food at main dining hall was great. Comfortable stay.
